Privacy policy
Short version: this website collects nothing about you. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no forms. The only personal information involved is what you choose to send us, or what you provide when you make a donation.

Who we are
Zonke Izizwe Preschool runs the school in South Africa and publishes this website. Donations are received in the United States by Outreach, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, who hold the records of those gifts. Zonke Izizwe is not itself a registered nonprofit at this time.

What this website collects
Nothing. There are no cookies, no analytics, no advertising tags, no tracking pixels and no contact forms. Nothing is stored on your device, and we cannot identify you from visiting.
Two ordinary technical things happen, as they do on any website:
- Server logs. The site is hosted on GoDaddy, whose servers record standard request information such as your IP address, browser and the page requested. These logs are kept by GoDaddy under their own privacy policy. We do not read, analyse or export them.
- Fonts. The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google and Google receives your IP address. Google Fonts sets no cookies. See Google's privacy policy for how they handle that request.
If you donate
Donations go to Outreach, Inc., not to this website. We never see or handle your card or bank details.
- Online. Payments are processed by PayPal. Whatever information you provide to PayPal — typically your name, the email address on your PayPal account and the amount — is passed to Outreach, Inc. as the recipient, and is also held by PayPal under their own privacy policy.
- By check. A mailed check normally carries your name, and often your postal address and bank details printed on the check itself. Outreach, Inc. receive and hold this in their donation records.
Outreach, Inc. use this information to process the donation, issue your receipt and meet their own record-keeping obligations as a US nonprofit. They may share your name and contact details with Zonke Izizwe so that we can thank you and send you news of the school.
If you contact us
If you email or message us on WhatsApp, we keep that message and your contact details so we can reply. If you ask to join our prayer list, we keep your email address in order to send those updates. We will stop at any time you ask — just reply and say so.
We do not sell, rent or trade anyone's information, and we do not share it with anyone beyond what is described on this page.
Photographs of children
This website shows photographs of children at the school. We publish these with the consent of a parent or guardian, and we do not identify any child by full name alongside a photograph.
If you are the parent or guardian of a child pictured here and you would like the photograph removed, contact idahhappy914@gmail.com and we will take it down. You do not need to give a reason.
Who processes information on our behalf
- PayPal — processes online donations
- Outreach, Inc. — receives donations and keeps donation records
- GoDaddy — hosts the website and the domain
- Google Fonts — serves the typeface
How long we keep things
Outreach, Inc. keep donation records for as long as US nonprofit record-keeping rules require. We keep emails and prayer-list addresses for as long as we are in touch with you, and delete them on request.
Your rights
South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) gives you the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. If you are in the United Kingdom or European Union, the UK GDPR and GDPR give you similar rights.

If you are in South Africa and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Changes to this policy
If we change how any of this works — for example if we ever add analytics to the site — we will update this page and change the date at the top.
